Company History
TMLF traces its origins back to Max Default Services, a distinguished trustee that provided non-judicial foreclosure services across 12 states. Max Default Services was founded by TMLF President, Jason Cotton, in 2000. Recognizing the evolving needs of the industry, Jason established The Mortgage Law Firm in 2010 to expand the default-related legal services offered to its clients.
In 2011, TMLF opened its Honolulu, Hawaii practice, expanding its presence and capabilities in the market. In 2012, the firm further solidified its position by establishing an office location in Phoenix, Arizona, cementing its commitment to serving clients across multiple states.
Driven by a focus on high performance and a commitment to quality service, TMLF experienced rapid growth and emerged as one of the fastest-growing firms in the industry. Responding to the demands of its valued clients, TMLF expanded its state footprint in 2018, opening offices in Oklahoma, Oregon, and Washington.
